Admittedly, I bought these strictly for their looks, and they absolutely deliver in that department. They look fantastic, fit great on my rack, and do exactly what they're supposed to do. Way better than what you'd find on Amazon.

My only issue is that the magnets feel like more trouble than they're worth. They're definitely strong enough to store the weights vertically, but be careful because depending on what you stick them to, they can be difficult to remove. I usually have to slide them off, and that can leave scratches on whatever you attach these to. I ended up solving this by covering the backs with UHMW tape.

Given the price, I don't think I should have to modify them at all, which is why I'm giving them four stars instead of five. They should come with some sort of scratch resistant backing built in, or just swap the magnets for some anti slip pads. I'd be just as happy storing these on a shelf or a weight horn.

Fantastic product and incredible quality

With the Dane 2.0 1:1 pulley ratio, this is a must have. Works much better than hanging an adder weight off the selector pin. It also looks cool.

These are perfect and look good doing it. Fringe makes quality products.

Bought the Dane 2.0 a month ago and found the 10lb weight jumps on the stack are challenging. Was excited to get the Midas fractional weights to help with this. Just got them in and surprised at the finish of the product. Sharp edges and the machining for each piece gives them each a unique appearance, not uniform. I placed them on the rack to check the magnet strength and they are strong! I don't mind that. I pulled them off the rack and two magnets came off. First time using them! I like the look of them. They are a nice addition to a 1:1 pulley system, but the quality control seems lacking. For the amount of money I paid for these I expect them to be better.

Solid weights but at this premium you'd expect the magnets to stay in place. I know epoxy will fix it but again shouldn't be a necessary fix. Team was helpful in reaching out.

This is that item you think is a gimmick until you add it to your home gym.

Not sure that these were worth having to wait 4 months to receive. The magnets are very strong which is only a problem when they pop out of the weight which happens to be every time you move them. Hopefully they’ve fixed their supply chain issues.

I ordered them in January and was notified they were on backorder due to manufacturing quality issues. I received them in April. I tested them on my cable machine weight stack and they fit nice and look great. But as soon as I pulled them off the weight stack, one magnet from 2 of the 4 that I ordered stayed stuck to the weight stack. I haven't even had a chance to use them during a workout yet. I hope some epoxy will help.

These things are great. They are extremely well made, the magnets keep them from sliding around like competitors offerings and it’s just enough to let your body perceive a difference as you are trying to get that next plate. The think I like the most is how compact they are. We have a Dane 2.0 which is a perfect for our single garage bay gym and try to keep everything as lean as possible. Buy them. If you don’t like them, I’ll take a second set.

I love these things had to get 4 of them. The magnets are overkill and that’s my style. Adds a bit premium to older equipment. Will absolutely buy again

Really enjoyed this purchase. My functional trainer only goes in increments of 10lbs. This helps bridge the game and allows me to push further. High quality materials and excellent magnetic hold. Highly recommended.

Love these fractional weight plates. They fit on the end of my barbells and on top of my weight stacks. They also have magnets! I love magnets. Makes them very easy to store or use.

Summary – 4.5/5, extremely versatile adder weight that is only being held back by the sharp milling that can leave marks on your rack.

Packaging was top notch. The 4 Pack Adder weights were all boxed, taped, wrapped, & bubble wrapped individually.
These things are bright AF. Like they said in the product overview, I can’t imagine someone losing these unless it gets slapped on a truck driving away.

Being able to just add 2.5 lbs per weight vs 10lbs with my Dane 2 is clutch. I’m super excited for shoulder day!
The selling point for me was that I’m able to not only drop these on my weight stack but also use them with my barbells. Plus since my barrel clamps are magnetic, these things have a little stick to them so I don’t have to remove the clamp to add the adder weights.

The only concern I had was related to the milling around the magnets. The edges around the slots for the magnets are a bit sharp and I noticed that as I pried off the adder weights, it would scratch the surface of either the weight stack or my upright (hard to see on camera since due to the lighting).
After a few uses, I noticed that some of the black powder finish accumulated in the space between the magnet & magnet slot.
To avoid any possible issue in the future, I added a strip of fabric grip tape over the magnetic surface. So far, no more new scratch marks.

I don’t think this is a reason to avoid the purchase but more of something to be aware of if you’re someone that wants to keep your equipment scratch free.

With all that said, I’m super satisfied with the purchase and glad I bought it before they sold out.

To my knowledge, these are a bit pricer than other adder weights but those aren’t as versatile. I don’t think I would have bought these if I had to choose only one type of equipment they would work with.

Have a protective film (tape or maybe a Midas themed sticker) on the bottom to protect surfaces

Ok! I’ve bought some crappy weights and these are not crappy! The magnets are super strong. They are cool looking and a great addition to my Dane!

Love the look of these fractionals which match the Midas bar sleeves. They help me fine tune the weight on the Dane 2.0 weight stacks. I have found that the magnets are extremely strong, but sometimes will pop out of their spot and get attached to other metal things (only negative I’ve come across but not enough to drop rating down as it’s easily corrected.

Quick and easy to use, magnetic feature works well!

I was waiting to see what Fringe would do for Dane 2.0 change plates and this is better/more useful than I imagined. The magnets make them stick to other parts of the rack (and in my case, perfectly on the pegboard).

Two minor gripes that Fringe could iterate on:
1. The magnets are too strong. I contacted support and they said they would lose some strength with use, but IMO they are still a bit too strong, which makes them harder to get on and off the rack/plates. My solution has been to leave more of a lip to grab onto for leverage.
2. The weights are calibrated. Not a huge deal since I’m not olympic lifting or anything, but all 4 I ordered were close to 10% off the 2.5lb stated weight.

My wife and I love our Dane 2.0 but the 10lb jump between the weight stack plates sometimes was just too much depending on the exercise. Then we got the 4 pack of these little golden baddies and couldn't be happier! The magnets are strong on them and the gold looks great on the rack! Highly recommend!!

These weights look amazing and they definitely get the job done, but I’ve got a big problem personally with the magnets being way too strong.
So I love the fact that these things will magnetized to the squa rack and stick wherever you want, but I have a really big problem with the magnets popping out of the weights within two hours of using them due to how powerful they are. I contacted customer service and they said it’s normal for the magnets to pop in and out. But for almost $150 for 10lbs of weight I find that to be pretty unacceptable.
If you have a dumbbell rack inside of your Dane like I do, and you mistakenly put these weights magnet side down on the shelf, you’ll have to get a piece of metal to pry them off the shelf due to how powerful the magnetism is. Kinda cool… but pretty terrible in practice.
I do genuinely love the way they look they serve their job very well as fractional plates. Just fix the magnetic issues if you’re gonna charge absurd amount of money for them.

Pricey, but you get exactly what you are paying for. There are a perfect fit, stand out so you don't lose track of them, and magnetic so you can put them anywhere. Well worth the money if you have a functional fitness rack. They also match my Midas bars which is classy as hell.

A little to bulky, didn't fit my bells of steel cable tower, use it on the outside with magnet, & your belt squat when max out on top

The adder plates are absolutely stunning. They do what they are supposed to do and do it well. The magnets are beyond strong, so no worries about them coming loose while using them. I was using a pair of body solid rubber adder weights prior to this, and these are a much more elegant and secure option. The lone downside that I have found is the magnets are so strong they can be a little tough to get on and off the weight plates.

These things are so pretty. The magnets on them are super strong and they weigh as advertised. Sometimes a little challenging for my wife. Fits the Dane 2.0 stacks perfectly in multiple configurations. Absolutely best value adder weight and it’s not even close.

Just received my order yesterday, a used them the following morning. Micro progression isn’t something you think about till 10 pound increments become an issue in flys and small stutters you can use. Solid approach, easy to use and best part you don’t have to worry about them flying off because of the magnets. Looks to milled from a solid block so you don’t have to worry about dropping them and breaking them. 10/10 buy these, don’t have to worry about shattering your weights with a pin add on. Looks great and 100% functional.
