I purchased the Mammoth Belt Squat to replace barbell squats as it was bothering my back. This device allows me to do more weight and reps without the back strain. I love the attention to details like the protection it has to keep from scratching my rack. Easy setup and tear down. I am less likely to dread leg day and almost enjoy it now….almost.
Purchased this attachment because I needed an alternative to traditional squats since I was having surgery on my right shoulder. This thing is AMAZING!! Luckily I have three teenage boys that can load the plates for me. I can’t do any upper body exercises while recover from surgery so this thing has been a life saver to be able to at least keep working out my quads. I contemplated just going to my local rec center but I’m just not a fan of working out outside of my home. Ever since using this belt squat I have had zero back pain which I dealt with at least once a month. After having this attachment I don’t see myself using a barbell to squat again! Great product along with a great price!!
Great quality. Easy to build. My plate holder came stripped, was unable to tighten completely but still works. The kickstand is awesome. Makes for a great workout.
It is probablly my favorite piece of equipment in our gym, no exaggeration, As someone that only has 60% range of motion in my right ankle after a near death car accident some years ago. This thing is a god send, as I refuse to do traditional squats or deadlifts, since the majority of my right leg bones were replaced with titanium rods, screws, hinges etc LOL, it makes doing those excercises night impossible. I absolutely love the belt mammoth squat attachment, its easy to set up especially with the kick stand, we have the bull horn style weight horns ontop of it and can really load it up. It feels great and I dont have to worry about hurting myself or my ankle, it feels good and comfortable !
Sport Team, Should have had one of these a long time ago. It's cut the reps on my back by half or more and I get a better range of motion without contortion. I'm 78 and will probably use this long after my squatting days are through. Ten rep sets give a great pump! Simply great machine!
Dealing with back pain very often and scared of hurting it this takes away that feeling of having all that compression on your back and pulls focus more on your legs it’s just what i needed love it, and you definitely need the kickstand it’s perfect
Got it for son. He loves it. On the front end of training for sports but he loves using the Mammoth. It attached easily to our Monster lite rack. The video directions were very easy to follow. Very sturdily made, solid peice of equipment. I would recommend to other parents who’s kids are (or starting) to train. I would love to try it, but bad knees!
I received my mammoth in excellent condition! Setup was a breeze and have used it twice. It’s an awesome design and well worth the money spent. Thank you!!
I am an ex power lifter, herniated disks , crooked spine etc …. Needless to say squats are now a very strategic exercise and loaded at reasonable weight. My dead lifts have also moved to a trap bar again at moderate weight. This belt squat attachment ( coupled to my rogue rack) is now my go to . Easy to set up, easy to load ( ive got the dual horns) and the weight limit is incredible. Very sturdy with not much wobble side to side. I set it up to max length so the motion is very fluid and load feels well balanced. The belt supplied is great , my wife uses it , as I owned a spud inc . Very comparable. The biggest plus is the fact my spine has zero load on it as all the weight is on my hips. Overall this attachment is amazing and checked every box for this old boy. My legs hate you for it!!!!
This has been a great addition to my home gym! Actually ended up upgrading to the dual weight horns and the experience has been great. Easy to set up and store!
Great excellent company
I've had reoccurring lower back injuries, and traditional back squats were becoming an injury risk that wasn't worth it. The Mammoth Belt Squat solves that problem by allowing me to train legs as hard as I want without putting an unnecessary load on my spine and lower back. The included belt distributes the weight comfortably around my hips, allowing me to simulate traditional back squats without risking lower back fatigue or injury. The build quality is exceptional and clever--not only will this thing last forever, but it's also able to be configured for 2" or 3" racks, thus making it versatile in basically any home gym scenario. Also, the kickstand is a no-brainer add on since it allows you to start the movement from a standing position. Finally, the length of the arm is important, and Fringe nailed it. You can buy cheap belt squats elsewhere, but because they typically have short arms, it requires your body to travel in an arc. Fringe opted to make their arm much longer, which reduces the feeling of traveling in an arc. Fringe knocked this one out of the park. There's a reason this item is so popular--you won't regret your purchase!
Solid construction and with the swan neck, it's easily storable on the rack. No complaints at all! Would highly recommend
I cannot squat or lunge anymore as I getting older because things are starting to hurt until I saw this. I was very curious because it made sense, but what works for someone may not work for someone else. Set up was super easy and it works on my squat rack. The kick stand is a must and makes life very easy. Using it almost every time when I am super setting another exercise.
Love this thing. A belt squat was an afterthought when building out my home gym. I went back and forth on this one for a while, but when the Tariff Sale hit, I knew I had to pick it up with the double weight horns. It does not disappoint, I also love that I can do other movements with it like rows and stiff legged deadlifts. It’s well constructed and rigid, plus the long lever helps negate the knee sheer felt with shorter lever style belt squats.
Easy to assemble seems very well built using it for squats and rows was as expected. Highly recommend

Wonderful!
Wondeeful!
I purchased the belt squat with all the add-ons—the kickstand and dual weight horns. The packaging was fine, and everything arrived in one piece with no damage.
Once I opened the boxes, though, I found only a minimal and unclear instruction sheet that did a poor job of explaining assembly. While the build isn’t rocket science, it’s not obvious which parts go where because the images are low quality and the text instructions are vague. If anything, the provided instructions make it harder to figure out.
I looked for an assembly video on Fringe’s website, but it redirected to a “private” YouTube video, which wasn’t helpful. After some searching, I found Tim Thebodeau’s YouTube channel, where he has an excellent video covering the assembly (including the different configurations depending on what you purchased).
My only complaint so far is the lack of usable instructions and the time I wasted tracking down a proper tutorial. For the sake of future customers, please update the instructions—at minimum, link directly to Tim’s video. It’s concise, clear, and shows the right angles to make assembly straightforward.
great, I am a retired FF and injured both shoulders on the job. I have had bother shoulders replaced within the last 3 years and even before that was unable to do a barbell squat due to my shoulder issues. I started using the Mammoth squat belt and can now do great leg work outs again.
Works very well. The instructions could use some updating and more clarification but the product itself it’s a great addition to the home gym. I’m very impressed by how good it feels. Think I’m all done barbell squatting now!
Really love this latest addition to my home gym. As I’ve gotten older, a combination of back and knee issues/injuries have really limited my ability to squat heavy. I looks at dedicated belt squat machines but the price was prohibitive. So, I checked out belt squat additions do racks and came across the Fringe belt squat and took the plunge. Voila! I can squat heavy again and my back and knees aren’t screaming at me when I do! It fit easily onto my rack. My lone gripe was that the instructions weren’t clear but that’s mostly because set up varies depending on the size of your rack and if you’re doing it as a rack add-on or connecting to a wall. The nice we got it figured out, the rest was easy. If you’re like me and want to try belt squats, I recommend this. The range of motion is great - it’s flexible so you can adjust until it’s just right. The belt is comfortable. I’d recommend the kickstand, too. It makes life easier when adding a lot of weight. I got the mag pin, too. Not necessary but it looks cool .
This thing has allowed me to go ultra deep in my squat and really push to failure. Best leg pump I've ever had every time.
Awesome belt squat. Hits the quads like crazy.
Well made, creative designs
Heavy duty
I was struggling with lower back pains from traditional barbell squats to the point I just gave them up. This has been an excellent, space saving addition to my home gym, that's totally eliminated any back aches. And, in case you're wondering about the physics of this thing, I used an electronic, hanging scale and attached it between my belt and the arm to figure out the working load i experience. I have the bull horn plate attachment, mounted about 17.5" back from the front of the arm. The arm is attqched to my rack 24" off the floor. I'm 5'11". I added 100lbs to the arm. While standing, the scale registered 83lbs. While at the deepest point in my squat, the scale read 76lbs. So you'll feel approximately 75-80% of the load, depending on where you are in the movement.
This attachment is allowed me to exercise the lower part of my body again after I tore my peck, and I can’t put a bar on my upper body for the next 90 days.
I love this belt squat. It's very high quality and well designed. The included belt is comfortable and the kickstand makes starting my set simple. I would never use a lever belt squat without some type of kickstand. I highly recommend.
