Quality Barbell

The Midas bar is nice. I never owned any quality Olympic barbell. My previous barbell was from CAP and it served me well. This barbell feels a lot better when doing deadlifts. The knurling feels just right, not too aggressive. Overall it is a wonderful barbell, it’s also a plus that it looks beautiful.

Good but Gimmick

Bar looked great out of the box. Knurling felt good. Definitely an improvement over my budget bar. Spin is smooth. Had the bar a few weeks now and the gold finish doesn't last. It has a large chip in it already. If they weren't charging a premium for the gold or if the gold was more durable, I'd rate this higher. It's good bar but you are paying extra for an aesthetic feature that won't make it a month.

This bar has a great feel and the sleeves have the right amount of spin. The Midas touch is just an added bonus!

Knurling too aggressive for DL

I guess it’s just a personal preference but for deadlifting and rack pulls the knurling chews up my hands. I’ve relegated this bar to just benching and squats.

Midas

Pros: It’s a great bar. I use it for deadlifts, bench press, squats, rows, shoulder presses, upright rows etc.

Cons: The small downside with the knurling in the center is that it cuts at your trap/neck area when doing squats (if wearing a stringer). No issues when wearing a regular tshirt.

Good job fringe! Can wait to get the adjustable arms for my Dane 2.0.

Midas bar

Looks amazing. The knurling is comfortable and still allows a good grip. Only downside is the gold does flake off a little.( bar looks fine, but I see flakes on the floor)

I love the bar so far and I got tremendous support from customer service with a shipping issue that was totally my fault.

Bar is very well made and the look and feel is good. Very happy with the product and purchase.
One of the sleeves did get several scratches from the bumper plates used I assume. Definitely a bummer it happened after 2nd use but overall very happy.
